Here is one of my personal favorites.... The Savannah longbow - it is born from a blended culmination of shadowy dreams and crystal clear visions. The Savannah is the longbow of the bush. Its short 62" length can stalk. Its slender limbs are reflexive and deadly quick. Exotic bubinga and zebrawood give it a generous, rich look that appeals to the discerning eye. Caleb Gould
This is my son Caleb with his first deer. While this animal was not harvested with a bow, it was harvested with a one shot weapon (a muzzleloader). I am extremely proud of him because he is already learning to be an ethical hunter. I have tried to teach him to be ethical and he passed on a six pointer earlier at 30 yards because he could not get a clean shot. He did not want to make a mistake and have an animal suffer so he passed on the first buck only to be rewarded a couple of hours later with this 8 pointer. This guy makes us let him carry bugs out of the house instead of hurting them.
Recurve Harvest
I prefer the challenge of shooting with a recurve or longbow. This is my favorite method of hunting and this is my third traditional harvest. It requires lots of practice and you have  to get close. This deer was at 8 yards which is a thrill in itself. I had lots of other does within several feet of me during the rest of the season but I was waiting on the big boy that never showed. His tracks are still there so maybe next year..........
Excalibur Crossbow Deer
Congratulations to Bernard Gavre!!! Here was his accompanying email.... Last summer I purchased an Excalibur Ecomax crossbow from you for my wife as she is beginning to deer hunt with me again. She had several deer in her range but wasn't given the shot she wanted. I just could not resist the temptation to try out the Excalibur the 1st week of Nov here in WI. At 69+ yrs I have 42 deer to my credit with a longbow, recurve and compound. This deer gave me just as big a thrill as my first. It was a broken G3 8 pt with a 17" spread weighing 172 lbs. Pictures attached. Thanks for your superior service when I ordered the Excalibur, 3 days from order to delivery is exceptional!
Texas Cull
Byron emailed me this photo described as a Texas Cull. In my world this is a deer to be proud of and cherished for its unique features.
